Life After Graduation: Month 1

As June is coming to an end, it is hard to believe how fast time is flying by. One month ago, I completed my Bachelors of Science degree from Stockton University. My time at college was an emotional roller coaster from starting my journey in Fort Lauderdale to transferring back home. Now that I have reached this milestone, I am eager to start something new and finally be free from my hometown. I have many regrets about changing my original plans on becoming a physical therapist, but I know that I am much more passionate about other things that relate more to the business fields.
Currently, I have been applying to companies to become a medical device sales representative, but have only been rejected so far. The Linkedin and Indeed websites have been constantly up and running since February. I try to send in three applications per week to ensure I am not falling further behind than I think I am. Recently, I have been struggling with watching my friends begin to embark on their next journeys while I continue to work at a local restaurant and live with my parents (although I am so extremely proud of them). I know that something will align, I just need to be patient, which is something that I am working on.
On the other hand, I have been enjoing the most amazing summer schedule. My typical day starts at a hot yoga class then I head to the beach, and depending on if I serve at night or not I will spend the rest of the day there. I love living in New Jersey in the summer time, winters can be brutal, so summer feels like a reward. I have been enjoying all the new restaurants in Ventnor and Margate as well as going out at night time to dance to some of the best DJ's. I am trying to enjoy life while I can and take in every experience offered.
