While wandering the streets of Ocean City on my usual shopping loop, I stumbled into the most vibrant little gem of a shop—bursting with color, personality, and some of the coolest pieces I’ve ever seen. As I was walking down the isles, I couldn’t help but wonder why each rack felt like it belonged to a completely different person. Finally, I noticed the names hanging above each section. Mystery solved. They did belong to different people.

The Garb Collection is a clothing resale shop that basically operates like Poshmark come to life. After chatting with the sweetest girl at the front desk, I went home that night and immediately booked my booth rental. (Impulse? Maybe. Regrets? Zero.)

I knew I wanted a booth right up front—prime real estate, darling—so I decided to hold out for the perfect opening. The wait actually worked in my favor; it gave me time to sort through my closet and upload all the item info to my account like the organized fashion entrepreneur I’m pretending to be.

Setting everything up could not have been easier. The store prints out stickers with your item details and pricing, and provides hangers, tools for attaching tags, and even a steamer. I had my mom come to help set up, all in all, it took us about two hours to get my booth set up and looking polished.

Honestly, this might be one of my best spontaneous decisions yet. I’ve always dreamed of having a shop in a beach town, and this feels like the first tiny, thrilling step toward something bigger. For now, I’m reselling pieces from my personal collection, but eventually I want to be customizing them and creating my own patterns.

The Garb Collection takes one-third of the sales, which feels totally reasonable to me—they’re running a full store with amazing employees and giving renters everything they need to succeed. I can’t wait to see how my first month goes. Something tells me this is just the beginning.
